Ken Dean Hornsby Sr.

Ken Hornsby Sr. age 67, passed away on November 18, 2023. Ken was born to the late Ella Mae and the late Jesse Hornsby Jr. on March 16, 1956. Ken was the loving husband of Mary (Hennekes) whom he married on July 18, 1980.

Ken is survived by his wife Mary. Children; Kelly (Darrell) Smith, Kenny (Chelsie) Hornsby Jr., and Kevin Hornsby. Grandchildren; Madison, Addison, and Lane. Brother; Denny (Karen) Hornsby, he is preceded in death by his brother Mike Hornsby. Ken is also survived by extended family members and friends.

By trade, Ken grew up being a brick mason and followed along in his father's footsteps of being an entrepreneur and owner of Elite Masonry. If not at work, you would find Ken on the lake fishing, in the woods hunting, or at a sporting event supporting his grandchildren. Brick by brick, Ken built a foundation of hard work, dedication, integrity, and admiration for his family to carry on.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a memorial donation to the Goshen High School Alumni Association. Ken was in the class of 1975, found the historical time capsule on school property, and had the opportunity to do a lot of work around the school district.

Graveside services for Ken Hornsby will be held privately at Graceland Memorial Gardens by the family per his request.

A celebration of life (open house style) will be at the home of Kenny and Chelsie, a home he built from the ground up. This will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at 6501 Marathon Edenton Road, Goshen, Ohio 45122.
