It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Karl Damhorst, a beloved husband, brother and friend who left us on December 20, 2025, at the age of 71. Ken was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but spent most of his life in Milford, Ohio. There he cultivated a renewed passion for baking that led him to work at Servatii Bakery.
Ken was not just an exceptional baker; he was also a dedicated Christian of the First Baptist Church of Milford, where he actively served in the Jail Ministry, and the Addictions Ministry; His unwavering faith and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Dean Damhorst, his brother Alan Damhorst and his wife Kate, and his sister Christine Chandler. Also he is survived by eight nieces and nephews. Although not biologically kin, Ken was blessed by having six children who he considered grandchildren. Preceded in death are his parents Arthur and Verna Damhorst, and siblings Ronald Damhorst, Mark Damhorst, and Joyce Berry. All his family and friends will cherish the memories of his warmth laughter, and countless ways he enriched their lives.
Please join us to celebrate Ken's life and the joy he brought to our hearts. The visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Milford on January 2, 2026, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, where you can share your memories and express your condolences. The funeral service will be held at the church on January 3, 2026, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Bearing Precious Seed Scripture Publishing Ministry, honoring Ken's devotion to spreading love and faith at home and around the world.
