Kenneth Ray Dixon passed away peacefully at his home in Loveland, Ohio on October 28, 2025.
Ken (or Kenny, as he was known back home) was born the youngest of 6 children on February 28, 1946 to Henry and Willie Mae (Dempsey) Dixon in Minden, West Virginia. After graduating from Collins High School, he attended West Virginia Institute of Technology and then moved to Washington, DC where he met Susan Moeller, whom he married on December 30, 1972.
The couple moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where Ken spent the rest of his life raising his children - Christine (Doug) Steward and Gregory (Jessica) and running his small construction business, Archadeck, until he retired in 2007.
Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughters, Hailey and Sydney Steward. He was a diehard Reds fan with season tickets for a number of years and listened to countless games on 700WLW before the games became widely televised. He loved relaxing on his deck in the evenings with a glass of bourbon in his hand as well as golfing and traveling to explore new and exciting places.
The family will hold a small memorial service for his immediate family only and will plan a Celebration of Ken's Life at a later date.
In lieu of sending flowers, his family asks that you contribute to one of the causes that Ken held close to his heart - the Oak Hills/Collins High School Scholarship Fund (select "General Scholarship") or PBS Foundation.
