Kenneth E. Elliott

Captain Kenneth "Kenny" E. Elliott retired from the Newport Fire Department after 37 years in fire service. Kenny started his career in Dayton, KY with Dayton Fire Department until he transferred to Newport. He was the beloved husband of Patricia "Patty" (nee Fagin) Elliott; loving father of Chris (Katie) Elliott and Shannon (Jerry) Cannon and the late Kelli Elliott; step-father of Brian Stieby, Todd (Amber) Stieby and Kevin (Jamie) Stieby; cherished Papaw of Austin (Taylor) Cannon, Avery Elliott, Jordyn (Tyler Harding) Cannon, Dylan Cannon, Brandon Elliott, Ben Brosch, Darrin Hardy, Kasandra Cooper, Isaac Brosch, Piper Graham and Olivia Elliott; Great Papaw of McKenzie Cannon; dear brother of Kathy (Roger) DeBruler, Tonya Laytart and Hope Risheberger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Elliott and Carolyn (nee Schwalbach) Risheberger. Passed away Sunday September 27, 2020. Age 66. Residence Milford, Ohio. Kenny also served as vice-president and treasurer of the Day Heights Memorial Firefighter Association. Ken was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan! Visitation will be held on Friday October 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Eastside Christian Church, 5874 Montclair Blvd, Milford, OH 45150. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Goshen, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society . Evans Funeral Home is serving the family.
