Kenneth Wayne Fussnecker Sr. of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born on November 13, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Clara Fussnecker.
Kenneth led a diverse and fulfilling life, working in various roles as a steel worker, landscaper, police officer, and teacher, to name a few. He was an artist and poet, finding joy in creativity and self-expression. Throughout his life, he had the opportunity to explore the world, visiting 48 states and indulging in his passion for skydiving and spelunking. His love for adventure was matched only by his love for his family, spending quality time fishing with his grandchildren and always showing them the importance of cherishing each moment.
A man of deep faith, Kenneth found solace in reading his Bible, attending church every Sunday, and connecting with the stories of the Lord. He was a proud veteran of the Army, having served from 1971 to 1973 and reaching the rank of Private 1st Class.
Kenneth enjoyed listening to gospel bluegrass music and had a fondness for classic TV shows like "Bonanza," "Gunsmoke," and other old westerns. His kind and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him, and his presence will be greatly missed.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Barbara Tauber Fussnecker, his children, Amy (David) Philhower, Kenneth W. Fussnecker Jr. and Christina Fussnecker. He is the grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 19. Dear brother of Russell Fussnecker, Edie Gabbard and Patricia Black. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers William Fussnecker and Richard Fussnecker.
A Graveside Service to honor and remember Kenneth Wayne Fussnecker Sr. will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery on April 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. Family, friends, and all who knew Kenneth are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his remarkable life. May his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
