Kristy Michelle Girten

Kristy Michelle Girten, nee Andrews, beloved wife of Chris Girten, loving mother of Davis (Jade) Mills, Christian, Collin and Cayden Walters, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the age of 47 with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Bobetta Andrews and her brother, Kenny Andrews. Cherished aunt to Josh, Jake, Jonah, and Jordan, and many dear family and friends who knew and loved her. Kristy had a special relationship with the father of her children, Christian Walters, her sister-in-law, Christy McGeorge, her mother-in-law, Cindi Zehnder and father-in-law, Chris Walters.

Kristy held a Master of Science and was a Nurse Practitioner at UC Health. A dedicated nurse of over 20 years, caring for others came naturally for her. A selfless woman that cared more for others than she cared for herself. She was our family’s go to for all our medical issues and questions.

Kristy was an amazing cook. Her signature meals were comfort food cooked with lots of love. Her recipe book was the size of a dictionary. She was also very passionate about her vegetable and herb garden and wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She would always brag about what she grew. She had a huge spice cabinet with her own homegrown herbs. Kristy was crazy about her fur babies, Izzy, Lucy and Nova and rescuing animals. She always enjoyed the idea of having her own little zoo, at one point we had every animal under the sun in our backyard. One of her favorite times, was movie night with her children and nephews and niece which included a smorgasbord of snacks and lots of laughing. She also loved reading, attending rock concerts and vacationing at the beach. She was an amazing lady with a bubbly personality and an infectious laugh.

Services will be Thursday, October 6th, with visitation beginning at 5:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford, Ohio 45150.
