Lawrence Dale Higgins

Lawrence "Larry" Higgins, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on June 12, 1936, in Unicoi, Tennessee, Larry embraced life with a gentle spirit and a deep love for his family.

Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force. His time in the service shaped his values of dedication and service, which he carried into his civilian life. After his military service, Larry built a fulfilling career at IBM, where he dedicated 25 years to helping others.

Following his retirement, Larry enjoyed the freedom of being a handyman, becoming a true "jack of all trades" around his home. His simple, yet rich life was characterized by love for his family. Larry is survived by three sons - Brent (Melanie), Jeffrey, and Larry Jr., and grandchildren, Jace and Jaelyn.

An avid golfer and a devoted hockey fan, Larry found happiness in the little things, preferring to savor life's simple pleasures over grand gestures. In all aspects of his life, he kept to himself, yet the love he held for those around him was vast and unwavering.

Larry will be lovingly remembered for his quiet strength and deep devotion to his family.
