Leonard Hoover Wilder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Milford, Ohio, on April 21, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 22, 1932, in Pineville, Kentucky to Levi and Mary Wilder, he lived a full life marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Leonard began a successful career with Procter & Gamble, where, for 35 years, his strong work ethic and dedication were evident. He loved the Lord and read and studied his Bible faithfully; he was an active member of Landmark Church ever since he and Nadine married in 1956.

Leonard was a man of many talents and hobbies. He loved listening to gospel music, strumming his guitar for anyone that would listen, and toying with both the harmonica and dulcimer. He also spent time painting, crafting, and sewing. Whether it was using watercolors to re-create a favorite photo, making stockings and christmas ornaments, scrapbooking or quilting one of his many quilts, he found peace and joy in every one. Several of his quilts have been the main attraction in the yearly auctions at the M & F Greer family park. In recent years, he discovered a love for diamond art and blessed many friends and family with pieces he made and gladly gave away.

Leonard was blessed with a knack for telling jokes, often knee-slapping and laughing at himself before he could finish the punchline. He spent many hours reading joke books and organizing his comedy acts - making sure only the appropriate ones were on the list for his Jolly 60's group at Landmark Church. Wherever Leonard was, laughter and good humor filled the air.

Leonard's ability to fix just about anything made him a go-to person for many; he was the master of "MacGyvering" any and everything around the house that needed repair. He never visited his Tennessee family without asking for a "Grandpa Do" list.

Even more than anything crafty or funny, Leonard loved his family above all. He treasured spending time with his family and sharing his creativity and joy with those around him. His love, caring, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone in his life.

Leonard leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years, Nadine Wilder, and their children: daughter Rhonda Dutlinger (and son-in-law Mark Dutlinger), son Steve Wilder (and daughter-in-law Jackie Wilder), his grandchildren: Melissa (Ken) Kirk, Joey (Rachel) Wilder, Kinsey Wilder, Renee (Michael) Howell, and Rodney (Michelle) Dutlinger, his great-grandchildren: Christian (Allie) Howell, Kaylee (Zack) Lacey, Courtney (Michael) Patterson, Khloe Howell, Kamryn (Ethan) Evans and Elizabeth Mills and great, great-grandchild: Eleanor Mae Lacey; nieces and nephews and many friends. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and humor.

Leonard was preceded in death by parents, four brothers, and a sister.

A funeral service celebrating Leonard's remarkable life will take place at Landmark Church on April 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Leonard will be laid to rest at the Landmark Memorial Gardens cemetery located at 1600 Glendale Milford Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in Leonard's memory to Landmark Church or the M&F Greer Park. Join us in honoring a man whose legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship will forever resonate in our hearts.
