Linda F. Christie

Linda Faye Christie (McConnaughey), born on August 26, 1948, in Mariemont, Ohio, entered eternal rest on November 30, 2024, in Milford, Ohio, at the age of 76. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Heidler and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda was best known for her love and acceptance of everyone.

Linda is survived by her daughters: Michele (Patrick) D’Orazio, Mikele (Kevin)Giambra, Jennifer (Mike) Vann, and Jessica (Josh) Holland. She also leaves behind her cherished bonus daughters, Vicky (Chet) Blackburn and Sarah Heidler, and her bonus son, Joey (Gabrielle) Heidler. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren: Sydney, Alexandra, Zachary, Kyle, Jerrick, Michael, Jordan, Max, Laylah, Miranda, Reid, Raphael, Mallory, and Jhana, as well as her great-grandchildren: Jackson, Natalie, Silas, and Luke.

Born to the late Charles and Grace (Miller) McConnaughey, Linda was the eldest of eight siblings. She is survived by her siblings Charlotte (late John) Stubblefield, Carol (Fred) Litchfield, Charles (Sandy), Martin, and Ernie (Lisa) McConnaughey. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Sharon (Ed) Cole and Marlene Joy McConnaughey.

Linda graduated from Goshen High School and pursued higher education at Miami University, where she earned her degrees. Her calling as an educator led her to a fulfilling 25-year career, where she touched the lives of countless students, nurturing them with her wisdom and compassion.

Linda's life was a testament to her faith and love for family. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her loved ones and students will be deeply missed. We find solace in knowing she is at peace, embraced by the divine love of her Creator. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her, as she rests in the eternal light of God's grace.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, from 6-8 p.m. at River Hills Church on Price Road in Loveland, Ohio. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at River Hills.
