Linda Lou Dietz, born May 20, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 78. She was a loving wife, proud mother and grandmother (Memaw), loyal friend, and someone who made the world a little brighter just by being in it.
Linda's life was full of warmth, laughter, and deep connections. She spent many years as a teacher's aide at West Clermont Schools, working in developmental disabilities classrooms where her kind heart and gentle nature made a lasting impact. She had a gift for making every child feel seen, understood, and loved-and she carried that same energy into her life outside of work.
But more than anything, Linda was about family. Her heart was always at home with those she loved most. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerome R. Dietz, Sr., and her children: Fred (Dawn) Julian, Mark Julian, Lisa (Scot) Haverkamp, Jerome (Laura) Dietz, Jr., and Andrea (Jason) Roberts. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Chelsea, Zachary (Chris), Samantha (Mitchell), Alexander (Tim), Jane, Margaret, Josephine, Mary, Leo, Lucas, Tyler, and Danielle, and her great-grandkids Gracie, Elijah, Isabella, and Danica brought her endless joy. She also shared a close bond with her siblings, Peggy (Steve) Keator, Larry, Millie, and Christina Kirk, and was preceded in death by her parents Ira & Rosebud Kirk, her brother Ted Kirk, and nephew Teddy Joe Kirk. Linda also had a soft spot for her furry companions-Adam, Moe, and Goober-who were part of the family in every way.
Linda met her beloved husband, Jerry, while working at Wolfie's-a chance encounter that blossomed into 27 beautiful years of love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and laughter, cherishing the simple joys: sunny days on the golf course, trips to Florida, tending to their garden, peaceful moments spent fishing, boxed wine, and, most of all, sharing time with their cherished family and friends.
Linda's funeral service will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on May 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together from 10:00AM until time of services to honor and celebrate her life.
Let's remember Linda for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love, and the way she made us feel-cared for, supported, and cherished. Her legacy is one of love, and it will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
