Lois Horsley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois L. Horsley, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on January 18, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on February 21, 1933, in Datha, Kentucky, Lois dedicated her life to spreading love and warmth to all who knew her.

Lois had a warm and inviting nature that extended to her love for cooking, gardening, and creating memorable family gatherings. Known for her delicious meals and delightful desserts, she embodied kindness and nurturance in every aspect of her life.

Lois is survived by her beloved sons, Jeff (Laurie) Horsley and Steve Horsley, who will carry on her legacy of compassion and resilience. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Christin (Nathan) Pelsor, Jay Horsley, Josh Horsley, and Sarah Horsley, as well as a great-grandmother to Christopher and Raymond. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be profoundly missed by them.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Fred L. Horsley, with whom she shared 54 years of love, as well as her beloved parents, Allen and Floy Johnson. As we gather to celebrate her life, we invite all who knew and loved Lois to come together in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.

Visitation will take place at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio (1944 State Route 28), on January 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, to honor her remarkable journey. Lois will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J Fox foundation for their massive effort to find a cure for Parkinson's disease in honor of her husband's 30 year battle with the illness. Her kindness will leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those she loved, reminding us all of the precious gift of compassion.
