Lora M Cox

In loving memory of Lora M. Cox, a cherished member of the Goshen community, who passed away on July 11, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Lora was born on March 21, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent a lifetime dedicated to serving others.

Lora's unwavering dedication shone through her roles in the Goshen Schools, where she touched the lives of many as a school bus driver and cafeteria monitor for over three decades. Her love for volunteering extended beyond the classroom, as she generously devoted her time to various community initiatives and events.

An active member of the Goshen Methodist Church and the Goshen Eastern Star, Lora's commitment to faith and fellowship was evident in all aspects of her life. Additionally, her passion for bowling brought joy and camaraderie to her friends and neighbors for years.

Lora's involvement in the Goshen Fire Department Auxiliary further exemplifies her selfless nature and dedication to the well-being of her community. Lora's family held a special place in her heart, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through them.

Lora is the loving mother of Margie (the late Mark Hadley of Goshen, and Larry (Patti) Cox of Tampa, FL; cherished "Memaw" to Kyle (Amanda) Hadley, Casey Hadley, Dan (Brittany) Cox, Robin (Chris Dickerson) Cox and Cole (Sabrina) Hadley; Great Grandma to Marcus, Michael, Zoey, Mason, Conor, Zayn, Aurora, Zylas and Zelda Hadley, Claire Cox, Samantha, Sydney, William, Harper and Bristol Dickerson; sister of Frances (Bill) Lockwood. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Lora is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bill Cox and her parents Arthur and Ruth Kirchner.

Family will receive friends at the Goshen Methodist Church, on Thursday, July 18th from 10 AM until the time of memorial services beginning at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Goshen Cemetery.

As we come together to reminisce on the beautiful moments shared with Lora, let us cherish her memory and the immeasurable impact she had on those around her. May her spirit guide us in kindness and service, just as she exemplified throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Goshen Methodist Church or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
