Madonna Marie Henderson, 89, residing in Loveland, formerly of Carmel, California, passed away on September 3, 2026. She was dearly loved by family and friends for her generosity and wit.

She worked as an x-ray technician until marrying the love of her life, Alexander Dawson Henderson, III, who preceded her in death.

Donna enjoyed traveling the world, playing tennis, bridge, hiking, skiing, visiting family, and shopping for the latest fashion. She loved the cats she adopted over the years and all animals.

Madonna was also preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Henry Schaffner and Madge Marie (Blanton) Schaffner, her brother, Charles Henry Schaffner, and her nephew, Timothy Allen Benson.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Ann (Schaffner) Benson, of Loveland, and Thomas (Chuen) Schaffner of Bakersfield, CA, her sister-in-law Sharon (Kennedy) Schaffner, her brother-in-law, A. Douglas Henderson, of Lexington, KY, her husband's children, Dawson (Sharon) Henderson, Greg (Louise) Henderson, David (Lindsey) Henderson, Scott (Sandra) Henderson, Holly Bijan, her nieces, Barbara (Paul) Blasch, Carol (Lee) Breth, Carey (Schaffner) Hammond, her nephews, Gil (Liz) Benson, Charles (Mikki) Schaffner, and Thomas Schaffner, and many more nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins.
