Margaret R. Anderson was born on September 23, 1940 in Utah. She was preceded in death by her mother Mildred (nee Yocum) Orband, her adoptive father Richard G. Ruff, and her sisters Kathy (Steve) Thomas and Marla (Larry) Carr.


Margaret was the proud and loving mother of Rick (Pennee) Anderson, Annette (Joe) Helm, and Colleen (Art) Verling; Dear grandmother of Josh (Kat) Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Jason (Rachel) Anderson, Joe (Chelsea) Helm, Matt (Jess) Helm, Dean (Ashley) Verling, and Jackie Verling; Great-grandmother of J.C. Helm, Raelynn Helm, Gavin Monachos, Greyson Monachos, Cali Monachos, Parker Verling, Reagan Verling, and Kai Verling.


Margaret was known for her dedication and love for her family. They meant the world to her. She loved gardening and was also very crafty and creative. Her lighthearted sense of humor left lasting memories with all those who loved her. Margaret dedicated over four decades of her life to the gaming industry, where she started in Reno, NV in 1962 until her retirement in 2005 from the Argosy Casino in Indiana. She also had a passion for music. Margaret was first violin in the symphony orchestra in Salt Lake City, Utah, and further explored her love for music with her four-year music scholarship to the University of Utah. Margaret will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.


Margaret passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 83. Resident of Milford, Ohio. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions can be made to the League of Animal Welfare- 4193 Taylor Rd, Batavia, OH 45103.
