Margaret A. Newberry

Margaret A. Newberry, age 89, of Milford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 21, 2016.
Marge was born on June 29, 1927, the eldest of four children born to Frank H. Bartol and Angela (Lustick) Bartol. She was raised on her parents' farm in Traunik, MI and graduated from Eben High School. In 1945, she moved to Chicago where she met and Married Charles H. Newberry, in 1956. In 1966, they moved to New Canaan, CT and later moved to Montgomery, OH (1979) and Fort Wayne, IN (1984). After her husband passed, Marge returned to the Cincinnati area in 1997 and lived there until her passing.
Marge worked professionally for many years; however, her real passion was raising her children and grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom, a classroom mother, a Girl Scout cookie chairman, a child chauffeur, a crafter of clothing and costumes, a lover of PBS, a church volunteer and a whiz at Scrabble. She also loved her weekly games of Canasta with her friends. Her favorite place in the world was her parents' farm in Traunik, where she spent every summer until her infirmities made it too difficult. She gave fully of herself and held nothing back.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Charles, and her brothers, Donald and Frank. Frank Bartol passed away one year to the day before his sister. She is survived by her sister, Kathryn of Hinsdale, IL, her brother-in-law, James Newberry of South Bend, IN, her loving children, Mary Lamb of Houston, TX, Laura Riedel of Cincinnati, OH, Betsy Newberry of Duxbury, MA, Tom Newberry of New York, NY and Janet DeRoberts of Grandview Heights, OH. She is the adored grandmother of Katie Monahan, Ben and Margaret Riedel, Stephen, David, Jeffrey and Colleen McKinney, Henry, Edward and George Newberry and Haden and Jack DeRoberts.
There will be a visitation at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford OH 45150 on Saturday, November 26 from 10:30 am to 11:45 am followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 552 Main Street, Milford OH 45150. As per her wishes, she will be buried next to her husband in Trenary, MI.
