Margaret A. Powderly

Margaret Alice Powderly (née Milligan), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on March 26, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 84. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Margaret was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Dougherty) Milligan and loving sister of Gwen (Milligan) Alexander.

On January 16, 1965, Margaret married Joseph Powderly, who preceded her in death. During their 52 years of marriage, they built a life filled with love. As a devoted military wife, Margaret supported the family through many relocations, always creating a home wherever they went.

Margaret was the proud mother of five children Brian and Melanie (Crump), Kevin and Gail (Harrington), Sean and Amy (Nerderman), Maureen and Kathleen and the grandmother of five grandchildren Ryan, Genevieve, Eliana, Connor and Matthew. Additionally, survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family who will cherish her memory.

A private family service will be held in her honor, with plans for a celebration of her life and interment at Arlington National Cemetery. She was a constant source of strength and wisdom for her family. Though she has left this world, her spirit, love and legacy will live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
