Margaret A Selm

November 26, 1949 — August 16, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret A. Selm, (nee Krimmer) a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and community servant, who departed this life peacefully on August 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Milford, OH, Margie dedicated her life to nurturing the minds and spirits of those around her, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community.


Margie's love for her family knew no bounds. She cherished her children and took great pride in her grandchildren, finding joy in every moment spent with them. An artist at heart, she expressed herself through the beauty of her many creations and the melodies of her dulcimer, sharing her passions with everyone fortunate enough to know her.


Margie's fun and adventurous spirit led her to explore new horizons, traveling, and embracing all of life's experiences with open arms. Those who knew her will remember her warm smile and kind heart.


Margie was deeply committed to her faith and actively participated in Evergreen Presbyterian Church. As a deacon and a devoted volunteer, she touched the lives of many through her unwavering commitment to serving others.


A lifelong learner, Margie devoted her career to nurturing young minds as a kindergarten teacher and Girl Scout leader. Her compassion extended as she also cared for mentally handicapped adults, offering them not just care but companionship and understanding.


Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marie Krimmer, husband Ralph Edward Selm Jr., her grandson Dustin Selm and brother-in-law James Selm. She is survived by her children; David (Lisa) Selm, Jennifer (Thom) Spicer and Jeremy Selm, grandchildren; Logan (Briana) Selm, Liza Selm Barr, Oliver Silver and Krista (Emily) Reincheld, her siblings, Sandy Dillion, Tom Krimmer, Andy Krimmer, Paul Krimmer and Carolyn Purvis, sister-in-law's; Gail Wissel, Julie Selm and Janet Taylor, as well as her loving companion Jack Miller.


A Celebration of Life honoring Margie will be held at Evergreen Presbyterian Church, 9994 Zig Zag Road Montgomery, OH 45242, on August 23, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Following the services, friends are invited to join the family for food and fellowship at the church until 1:00 PM.


Margie will be dearly missed, but her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness, creativity, and adventurous soul.
