Margret Eileen Collins

December 10, 1939 — March 1, 2022

Margret Eileen (Dumpert) Collins, of Milford, Ohio entered the loving arms of her Lord on March 1, 2022 at age 82. She was born on December 10, 1939 in Gas City, Indiana and she grew up in Fairmount. She married Verlis J Collins on July 15, 1956 and they were happily married for 65 years. He remained faithfully by her side throughout her life. She was loved by many and returned that love with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robbin Demarest, daughter-in-law, Marty Collins and grandson, Daniel Collins. She survived by children; Jeff Demarest (Robbin) of South Africa; Jerry (Martha) Collins of California; Donna (Timothy) Braley of Ohio; Jonathan (Julie) Collins of Georgia and Terry (Marla) Collins of Ohio and also by 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Margret was also survived by brothers Paul Dumpert of Utah; William (Mona) Dumpert of Tennessee; John (Nancy) Dumpert of Indiana; Richard (Dee) Dumpert of Ohio. Also preceding her in death were her parents Lawrence & Thelma Dumpert, her siblings, Lawrence Jr. (Edwina) Dumpert, Charles (Karen) Dumpert, Ruth (Ervin) Staggs and David (Dorla) Dumpert. Margret was always surrounded by family and friends and in social gatherings playing games and having fun. She enjoyed taking safaris and game walks in Africa and going to the zoo. She was always looking for activities for the family to do together. One of her best qualities was her care and concern for her family and friends especially in time of need. Margret accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and began praying for her husband with her 3 children. After 2 years, Verlis received Christ as his Savior. They immediately began serving the Lord at Union Chapel. After more than a decade of faithful service at Union Chapel Baptist God called them into full time service in the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry. For more than 49 years Margret worked alongside of her husband as Bearing Precious Seed missionaries out of First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio. Margret’s ministries included secretary for her husband and the School of the Scriptures, putting Bibles together, handing out John and Romans in the United States, in Mexican villages and in Africa, mentoring ladies and spending many - many hours cooking for groups in the back of a moving diesel bus while serving the Lord with her husband headed to Mexico. Her hardest job was keeping him awake while driving the bus. Our lives are forever changed by knowing her. Margret will be greatly missed.
