With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Marie Dollins R.N., cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on February 22, 1929, in Moorefield, Kentucky, Frances filled her 97 years with love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to the field of nursing.

Frances enjoyed a remarkable and fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, where she touched countless lives through her compassionate care. Her extensive experience included roles in hospitals as an Operating, Emergency, and Recovery Room nurse, as well as serving as a Doctor's Office Nurse and Clinic Nurse. Her passion for nursing extended beyond the workplace; she also dedicated her time as an industrial nurse, nursing instructor, volunteer EMT, cruise ship nurse, and private nurse. Additionally, she was a valued team member in a medical research project, reflecting her commitment to advancing healthcare.

Frances was always eager to learn and grow, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm. Later in her life, she developed a profound love for playing the piano and learning Spanish, exemplifying her belief that it is never too late to explore new passions.

She is survived by her loving children: Dr. Ann Dollins PhD (Molly Wilkins), Mary Stone, Richard Dollins Jr. (Maria), and Kathleen Monaghan (Alan). Frances was the proud grandmother of Brianna Blackburn (Chris), Carl Dollins, Andrea Monaghan (David Pierce), and Michael Dollins, and the joyful great-grandmother to Crimson Blackburn, Peter Pierce, and Sophie Pierce.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard L. Dollins Sr., whose legacy she carried with grace and honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Red Cross.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Frances's life with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columban Church on Friday, October 16th, at 10:00 AM, followed by her interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Saint Bernard.

Her warmth, wisdom, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
