Marie Beatrice Smith

Smith, Marie(nee Schmid) Age 95 of Owensville, Ohio Went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 26, 2023. She was born June 1, 1928, in Owensville, Ohio to Herman and Lucile (nee Cross) Schmid and preceeded in death by her brother Herman J Schmid. On June 1, 1946, Marie married the love of her life, the late Robert P. Smith upon his return from WWII. They were married at St. Louis Church in Owensville, where Marie was Baptized and attended church all her life. She loved vacationing in Florida and Smoky Mountains with her family.

Marie was a devoted and loving wife to Robert P. Smith and cherished mother of Philllip M. (Carrie) Smith, Jack H. (Thelma) Smith, and the late Betty Jane (late Jerry) Thompson, and the late Nancy M. (Calvin) Young; loving grandmother to Candace (Mark) Morgan, Jeffrey (Margaret) Smith, Jackie (Chris) Furnish, Alex Smith/Sonya Haugen, Calvin R Young Jr., Marie G (Chris) Afterkirk, Doug (Abigail) Young, Judy (Dan) Speer, Susan (Carlos) Rodriguez, and Steven Young/Erin Elliott, the late Andrey Young, Mary Thompson-Darkin, Bobby Thompson and the late Jerry Thompson Jr. Proud and loving great grandmother to Adam Furnish, Logan Young, Isabelle Speer, Penny Speer, Beau Speer, Emma Young, Mavrick Young, Andi Rodriguez, Nancy Rodriguez, Michael Rodrigeuz, Katelyn Smith, Adelynn Smith, Jacob Morgan, Noah Morgan, Rhett Smith, Scarlett Young, Blake Thompson, Joshua Hayslip, Nathan Hayslip, Shayla Hayslip, De-Ann Ebding and Dawson Wiersema and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at St. Louis Church on October 31, at 10AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at 210 N. Broadway St. Owensville, Ohio 45160. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Owensville. We thank Evans Funeral Home – Milford OH for serving our family.
