Marila Joy Roell

Marila Roell went home to be with the Lord early morning August 19, 2017 at West Chester Hospital, West Chester Ohio. Her mother and sister were by her side as she passed. Marila was severely physically and mentally handicapped and was a resident at Brookside Extended care in Mason for 26 years. She completed the special Education program and received her Graduation Certificate from William Mason High School May 2009. After graduation she began attending Creative Learning Workshop until her death.
Marila may have been trapped in a body that did not work but she was able to give life and hope to others. She was a soft tissue donor through Life center in Cincinnati. Her skin. heart valves and eyes were able to be donated to others. Be the help Donate Life.
She is survived by her father Attipius Roell, Mother Volra Marie Koch, stepfather Leslie Koch, sister Corlea Roell, niece Lindsay Koch as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She has an amazing family at Brookside extended care who tended to her every need 24/7 for 26 years. They were a true blessing and in the love and care they gave her. Her other family is at Creative Learning Workshop in Mason.
We will be having a memorial celebration at Brookside Extended Care on September 12, 2017 at 2:15 pm. We want to thank the staff there for their love and commitment to Marila and all of their residents.
