Marisa F. Carter

Marisa Faith Carter Age: 57 of Loveland, Ohio passed away suddenly at Bethesda North Hospital on January 10, 2023, in Cincinnati. Marissa was born on September 22, 1965, to Samuel A. Carter and Beverly S. Carter (nee: Witt).

Marisa completed her formative schooling and graduated from Milford Christian Academy in 1983. After a short stint at Bob Jones University, Marisa transferred to the University of Cincinnati where she completed her Associated Degree in Paralegal Studies. Prior to finishing her degree, Marisa worked as an administrative assistant for several companies in the garage door industry.

Marisa and Stephen Castleberry were married August 3, 1996, at Temple Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. In the ten years of marriage, they raised two sons, David Anthony Joseph Castleberry, and Stephen Alan Lewis Castleberry. Marisa and Stephen remained close friends until her passing.

Marisa’s hobbies including home cooking, baking, cross stitch, and watching sports especially Tennessee, VOLS!

Marisa was proceeded in death by her mother Beverly S. Carter, son David Anthony Joseph Castleberry, and nephew Richard Andrew Carter.

She is survived by her son Stephen Alan Lewis Castleberry of Pensacola, Florida, father Samuel A. Carter of Goshen, Ohio, Sister/brother-in-law Winona (Carter) and Scott Varney of Batavia, Ohio , Brother/sister-in-law Nathan and Rachel Carter of Goshen, Ohio, nieces and nephews Benjamin and Samantha Varney and Jessica, Bryce, Crockett, Gavin, and Valerie Carter. She is also survived by her beloved aunts and uncle Martha Carter of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Marion and Georgia Carter of Maryville, Tennessee, and many close beloved cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Milford. Address: 1367 Woodville Pike Milford, Ohio 45150. The service will be officiated by Dr. Charles F. Keen.
