It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marlene Janet Bryant, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, who left this world peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 3, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Marlene lived a life characterized by love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Marlene was the cherished wife of the late Paul Bryant and a devoted mother to Sherri (John) Lehart, Catrina (Tim) Sheehy, Mark (Debbie) Bryant, and Jeffrey Bryant. She was also the proud mother of Gregory Bryant, who preceded her in death. Marlene's legacy is lovingly carried on by her numerous grandchildren-John Lehart, Ryan Lehart, James Sheehy, Paul Sheehy, Brooke Sanner, Christina Bryant, Eric Bryant, Kate Bryant, Mark Bryant Jr., and Sunshine Wells-as well as her great-grandchildren-Finley, Easton, Andrew, Madelynn, Casey, Emory, Eleanor, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Maddox, Ivan, Olivia, Sylvie, Brenden, Hailee, Camden, Paige, Bryce, Madison, Garrett and Mila and great-great-grandchildren, Maci, Bryer and Alec.
Known for her caring spirit and hardworking nature, Marlene was a strong pillar of support for those around her. She gained immense joy from being involved in her family's lives, proudly attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events and nurturing them with her love and encouragement. Her talents were many; she was a remarkable cook, an accomplished seamstress, and a spirited participant in chair volleyball. Marlene's engaging personality made her a beloved figure, known for her bright spirit and kindness.
She dedicated years of her life to running a family carryout business alongside her husband. Later, Marlene's career as a relator showed her determination and commitment to her aspirations, further inspired by her pride in returning to school to achieve her education. She also worked at a local gift shop called the Bear Trap.
Marlene enjoyed exploring the wonders of the world with her friends and family, visiting Europe, Asia, Brazil, Australia, Mexico, and touched all 50 states. Through her travels, she fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and shared her stories with warmth and enthusiasm, leaving a mark on all who knew her.
In her later years, Marlene enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-dinners with friends and visits to the theater. Her strong values of honesty and fairness will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
