Marshall Roy Bailey

Roy Bailey, 83, of Jackson Township and formerly Mt. Healthy and Harrison Ohio, passed away at The Atlantes on Monday, November 20, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born July 17, 1934 in LaFollette, Tennessee the son of Cas and Elsie Mae (nee Riggs) Bailey. After graduating from High School in Tennessee, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Roy then received an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering and retired from Fernald. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0199 in Harrison, OH. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Ruth (nee Napier) Bailey, whom he married June 4, 1961; dear children, Lisa (Scott) Zearbaugh and Lorna (Bill) Jones; cherished grandchildren, Kyle Zearbaugh, Chase Zearbaugh, Alyssa Zearbaugh, Brandon Jones, Ethan Jones and Zach Jones; great- grandchildren, Easton Zearbaugh and Chloe Zearbaugh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Cas and Elise Bailey and siblings, Esker Bailey, Rosa Heatherly, Lena Petree and Sally Bailey. Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St. in Milford, OH from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Owensville United Methodist Church, 2580 US 50 beginning at 11 AM. Pastor David Tennant will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery in Highland County, OH. Memorials in his honor may be directed to the Owensville United Methodist Church
