In Loving Memory of Martha E. Kirby
Martha E. Kirby, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully, leaving a profound legacy that touched everyone who knew her. Born on March 29, 1947, in Eubank, Kentucky, Martha enriched the lives of those around her with her radiant smile and gentle spirit.
For over 59 years, Martha shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Donald (Gary) Kirby. Their journey together was filled with laughter, faith, and countless treasured memories. Martha poured her heart into raising her three daughters-Christy, Kathy, and Jenny-instilling values that shaped them into the remarkable women they are today. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren-Zach, Allie, Angel, Tyler, Dylan, and Kyle-and her great-grandchildren, Heath and Oaklynn. Every moment with her family was a precious gift, and her love for them was boundless.
Martha was a wonderful cook, creating meals that gathered her family around the table, where stories and laughter filled the air. A lover of puzzles, she found joy in piecing together intricate designs. She loved watching golf and football, and cheering on her beloved Kentucky Wildcats. She and Gary watched every Super Bowl together since it's inception in 1967.
Her kindness and gentle nature made her a cherished matriarch. Her special bond with her son-in-law, Lewis, was evident as she lit up the room when he kissed her forehead. Even when words failed her, Martha communicated through her smile, raising two fingers to say, "I love you too." She treasured the "breakfast special" prepared by her husband and enjoyed watching her favorite game show, "The Price is Right."
Martha's deep faith and conviction made her known as a true prayer warrior. Her generous heart and spirit of kindness created connections that will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind. Her love for fishing, gardening, and the beauty of fall colors were reflections of her appreciation for life's simple joys. Traveling to Gatlinburg with Gary to admire the mountains and countryside was a special delight.
Martha is survived by her loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends who will miss her dearly, including her brothers and sisters. Her Manning siblings; William, Charles, Gary, Jerry, Dorothy, Violet Rose, and Jessie and her Morris siblings; David, Bobby, Rosie, Versie Lou, and Alice. She is preceded in death by her parents, Waco Manning, Edith Morris, and Jesse Morris, along with 5 Manning and 6 Morris siblings.
