It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary "Cathie" Allen on July 8, 2024, at the age of 81, in Goshen, Ohio. Cathie, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. Born on July 7, 1943, Cathie lived a life full of love, faith, and compassion.
Married for 63 years to her devoted husband Jim Allen, Cathie's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She dedicated over 30 years as a Sunday school teacher and volunteered her time at the Venetian Gardens Nursing Home ministry with her sister, spreading love and kindness to all.
Cathie's presence in the community was as a beacon of hope and light. Known as a prayer warrior, she touched the lives of many with her mentorship, guidance, and sage advice. She selflessly gave back by delivering meals to those in need and opening her heart and home to all. Her passion for cooking was unparalleled, and her legacy lives on through her cookie recipe passed down to her granddaughter Megan.
Cathie found joy in the simplicity of life, enjoying yard sales and thrift store adventures, reminiscent of her days as the fearless "Chopper Lady" riding motorcycles in her youth.

(Linda) Allen, grandchildren, Caytee, Megan, Nikki, Tucker, Ashley, Josh, Chelcie, Alex, Brad and Eric, great-grandchildren, Aiden and Nora and her siblings, Jackie Lee, Bill Carmell and June McHaffie.
