Mary Elizabeth Connelly

Connelly, Mary Elizabeth, entered into Eternal Life January 22, 2017. Beloved wife of the late James E. Connelly; Loving mother of Mary Beth (Terry) Mayo, Maureen (Jeff) Stewart, Ann (Tom) Lauber and Joan (John) Pettigrew; Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Stewart-Smith, Molly Myers, Michael Stewart, Katie Mayo-Fitzpatrick, Maggie Mayo, Carolyn Mayo, Erin Wagner, Katie McCann, Kevin Lauber, Allen Pettigrew, Mary Engdahl and Elizabeth Pettigrew; Great-grandmother of Zoey Myers, Ian & Elenora Smith and Connor & Maggie McCann. Preceded in death by a sister Eileen Aylward and Brothers George & Larry Harrigan. Mary was an avid Bridge player.

Mom loved to keep busy espeially doing things with her 4 daughters, Mary Beth, Maureen, Ann, Joan and their families. She was a terrific bridge player and played 4 times a week. She enjoyed dinners and playing bridge at Maureen and Jeff's home. She looked forward to playing bingo with Joan every week. Mom and Ann would have fun seeing concerts and plays throughout the years. Mom kept busy when Mary Beth was in town going places on mom's list of interesting things to do.

Mom had a great devotion to the Virgin Mary and prayed the rosary daily. Her catholic faith very important to her. She drove friends to Mass when they could no longer drive. She attended adoration and was in the Legion of Mary at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Mom was a loving and caring grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being at their actitivies though their school years and always being at the important events in their lives. Mom has also been a good and caring friend to many along her journey. We will all miss mom's funny comments, her adventure to try new things, being there for us all these years, but most of all her smile and love.

Visitation Wednesday January 25th 3:30 - 5:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow. All at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 7820 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH. Memorial may be directed to IHM Church.
