With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Josephine Creekmore, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on December 6, 1938, in Somerset, Kentucky, Mary lived a life rich in love and laughter, surrounded by her family in Batavia, Ohio, where she delighted in the simple joys of everyday life.
As a dedicated Sales Representative with Mary Kay, Mary had a knack for connecting with others, brightening their days with her warm personality and infectious spirit. She loved to share her passion for beauty and empowerment with those around her. Before finding her calling in sales, Mary worked in the secretarial field, where her organizational skills and dedication shone brightly.
Mary was a true Southern belle at heart, indulging her friends and family with her incredible baking skills. Whether it was a warm pie fresh from the oven or her famous cookies, her kitchen was always filled with sweet aromas and laughter.
Mary's family was everything to her. She is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Hammonds; her cherished grandchild, Gregory Keith; her dear sister, Jewell Parker; her nephew, Matt Parker; and her nieces, Veronda Johns, Denisse Schwebach and Michelle Sharon. Each of them carries with them a piece of Mary's loving spirit and delightful charm.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to celebrate Mary's life at Graceland Memorial Gardens on January 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM. We will gather to reminisce, share stories, and honor a woman who filled the world with kindness, sweetness, and light.
