Mary Elizabeth Jordan

May 21, 1940 — July 18, 2025

Mary Elizabeth Carroll Jordan, 85, peacefully passed away on July 18, 2025. She was born in La Follette, Tennessee, to Jessie Lee and Rev. James Henderson Carroll, but spent most of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Having spent over 30 years in the automotive industry as a dedicated line worker at Ford Motor Company, she retired in 2008 but remained a hands-on creator, contributing to the startup crew for the new IKEA store in Cincinnati, where she sewed all of the drapery displays. Mary had remarkable talent as a master seamstress, sewing thousands of custom window treatments for the community from her family-run business, Jordan's Designer Workroom.

Mary leaves behind her beloved children, Pamela Parsons (Ray), Matt Jordan (Dorothy), and Robin Webb (Kevin), who will continue to honor her legacy of love and strength. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Nathan Jordan, Bart Parsons, Jessica Parsons (fiancé Micki Merriman), Ray Parsons III, Emily (Bernard) Robinson, Rachel (Peter) Wilke, and Kyle (Ashton) Webb. Her cherished great-grandchildren, Harley Jordan, Jared and Jacob Jordan, Blake Halloran, Macy Smith, and Wesley Webb, Orianna Webb-Robinson, Layla and Kash Webb, will carry forward her spirit of warmth and creativity. Mary is also survived by her sister, Nancy Spradlin (Jim); brothers, Perry McCullah and Danny McCullah (Faith); sister-in-law, Joyce Morgan (Wayne); and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her treasured husband, L.C. Jordan; her parents, Jessie and Rev. James Carroll; her niece Megan Burrows, and her siblings, Dewey McCullah, Lee Carroll, June Basone, Sharon Hatmaker, and sister-in-law Kathy McCullah.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Mary's life at a visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Both ceremonies will take place at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford, Ohio 45150.

Her skill, creativity, and warmth touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
