It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lou Ponchot, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on February 6, 2026, at the age of 87. Mary Lou was a resident of Cincinnati, where she built a wonderful life filled with love and cherished memories.
Mary Lou shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, James Ponchot, for over 66 years. Together, they created a family legacy that will continue to shine through their daughters, Sandy (Darrell) Saylor, and Terri (Lawrence) Davidson. Her love extended to her grandson, Mike (Brandi) Ponchot, and her great-grandchildren: Lucas, Carter, Kylee, Landon, Jeremiah, Noah, and Addison, who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts.
In every aspect of her life, Mary Lou exemplified the beauty of selflessness and kindness. She was known for her gentle spirit and her warm laugh. Her love for dogs brought joy to her life, and her deep faith in Jesus Christ provided her with comfort and strength throughout her years.
Mary Lou's legacy of compassion and dedication to family and friends will be honored during her upcoming services.
