Mary E. South

South, Mary E. (nee Steward) – Age 94 of Pleasant Plain, Ohio passed away April 7, 2022, at Laurels of Milford. She was born May 15, 1927, in Mt. Holly, Ohio the daughter of Lowell and Cora Steward (nee Collins). Mary was a homemaker and taking care of her children was her life. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. Mary read her Bible daily and was a member of Edenton First Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her ten children, Barbara (Lyndel), Charles (Geraldine), Kathy (the late Claude), Joyce (the late Luther), Thomas (the late Darlene), Leroy, Rodney, Mary Diane (Jerry), Robert, and Raymond; 11 grandchildren, the late Charlotte, Tony, Angela, Lonnie, Ronnie, Steven, Crystal, Chad, Mike, Mark, and Justin; 13 great grandchildren, Jackson, Lonnie Jr., Tyler, Christopher, Lexi, Chloe, Castiel, Aryn, Austin, Logan, Maddy, Kaleb, and Jaiden; 2 great great grandchildren Gavin and Adria; 2 sisters, Ella May (the late Dan) Barnes and Marlene (the late Howard) Howell; There will be a Visitation at Evans Funeral Home – Goshen 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122 Tuesday April 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM; Reverend Jeff McClain will be officiating; Burial to follow at Plainview Cemetery.
