Mary Lou Stocks

COFFEY - STOCKS, Mary Lou - Born May 9, 1930 in Wartburg, TN, departed this life July 10, 2019 at the Laurels of Milford. The only daughter born of Floyd Alexander Henson and Magnolia Henson Stewart; she is preceded in death by husbands, John Nathan Stocks of Lake Waccamaw, NC and Charles Wilson Coffey of Loveland, OH. She is also preceded in death by her son, Garland Lou Coffey; her brother, Floyd Alexander Henson, Jr.; and her sister, Marlene Hargis.

Mary Lou was the devoted wife of Charles Wilson Coffey until his death December 3, 1966. She later showed great care and compassion for husband John Nathan Stocks until his death April 28, 2005. She was a loving and devoted mother who worked tirelessly to support and care for her family of one daughter and five sons. In her early twenties, she was employed by RCA, Gruen Watch and US Steel. After the passing of her husband, Charles, She owned a successful upholstery business for 22 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Aretta Edens (Kelly); sons, Charles Ronald Coffey, Donald Coffey (Laura), John Frederick Coffey, and Gordon Lee Coffey; grandsons, Richard Charles Coffey, Jaramie Charles Coffey (Amy Leary), Nicholas David Coffey ( Alicia), and Lawrence Andrew Edens; granddaughter, Emily Paige Jernigan (Christopher) and eight great grandchildren.

Mary Lou's family is deeply grateful to the caregivers in the C and D wing at the Laurels of Milford for the devoted care and compassion shown to her during her time as a resident there.

There will be a Visitation at Evans Funeral Home - Milford 741 Center Street Milford, OH 45150, Monday July 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery 234 Center Street (State Route 126) in Miamiville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary Lou's name to MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES 11060 Kenwood Road Blue Ash, OH 45242.
