Mary Ruth Virzi

Ruth Virzi, age 94, of Madeira, passed Wednesday, February 22, 2017, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born February 27, 1922 in Spangler, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry and Frances Hoover Plouse. Ruth was a graduate of Spangler High School and retired from the Howe Richardson Scale Company. Ruth was very active in her community and especially the Madeira - Silverwood Presbyterian Church, which she and her family attended for many years. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death March 10, 2002. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph F. & Judy Virzi, grandchildren, Andy, Emily, Joely and Terrelyn Virzi. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday March 1, 2017 at the Madeira - Silverwood Presbyterian Church, 8000 Miami Ave. Madeira 45243 with a visitation time from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Tom Sweets will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Evendale. Her family requests memorials to Hospice of Cincinnati, C/O Bethesda Foundation Inc.
