Mary Louise Wall (nee Michel), age 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 7, 1936, in Cincinnati, Mary was the oldest daughter of the late Charles and Cleo Michel (nee Woodward).
Mary will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and treasured memories that will continue to warm the hearts of her family for generations to come.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Wall, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage.
Mary is lovingly survived by her children, Teri (Dale) Schibi, Dave (Patricia) Weisbach, and Jenni (Mark) Burgess. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Peter (Kim) Schibi, the late Clare Schibi, Hannah Schibi, Alison (Charles) Guy, Andrew Weisbach, Caroline (Mike) Gregoire, and Natalie (Doug) Rudolph. Her greatest joy continued with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Grant Schibi, JT Schibi, Reed Schibi, Oscar Guy, Shea Guy, Hadley Gregoire, Leo Gregoire, and Luke Rudolph, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life.
Mary found her greatest fulfillment in the time she spent with her family. Whether gathered around the dinner table or making lasting memories on special family vacations, she treasured every opportunity to laugh, celebrate, and simply be together. Those moments became the stories that will continue to be shared and cherished by those she loved.
She embraced life's simple pleasures with enthusiasm. Mary was an avid fan of college basketball and faithfully cheered on the Cincinnati Reds. A true treasure hunter at heart, she found joy in attending auctions and garage sales, always searching for antique jewelry, angel figurines, and unique knick-knacks that caught her eye.
Mary also treasured the close bond she shared with her siblings. Monday evening dinners with Charles (Dot) Michel, Pete (Jackie) Michel, and Sandy (Bruce) Bachman, filled with laughter, conversation, and lifelong love. Her annual winter trips to Florida were another source of great happiness, providing rest, warmth, and sunshine.
More than anything, Mary will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle nature, and kindness. Her quiet strength and compassionate spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to gather in prayer and remembrance at a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, August 11, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church, 3720 St. Martins Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clare Schibi Memorial Foundation, Inc., 7840 Gaines Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45247.
