Mary Ann Wesseler passed away on 10-28-2026 after a lengthy illness. She was born the fifth child of John A. and Helen C. WIllacker in Norwalk, Ohio on March 21, 1946. She progressed through school and graduated from Richwood, Ohio High School in 1964. She was then trained at Mt. Carmel School of Nursing, Columbus and licensed as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Mt. Carmel Hospital and, after marrying in 1970, moved to Milford and worked at Mercy Mariemont Hospital. From 1977 to 2018 , she operated Children's Villa Early Childhood Development Center in Milford. In so doing, she touched the lives of hundreds of children. She was devoted to the children and provided a safe, loving environment to help them develop emotionally, mentally, and physically in their pre-school years. She applied her medical training and skills with infants with special medical needs. In later years one of her greatest joys was hearing, while shopping for groceries, a child call out, "Mommy, there's Miss Mary Ann".

She was the loving wife of Ken Wesseler and devoted mother to their son, Todd. She is survived by her son, Todd J. Wesseler, of Milford, her brothers, Gary Dick of Mansfield and William Leber & wife Jennifer, of Oklahoma City, brother-in-law, Dennis Wesseler& wife Sarah of Florence, KY and by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Wesseler (2000) ; her father, who was killed by a lighting strike when she was 18 months old; by her mother; brothers John and Joseph, both of whom died before reaching a year of age; by brothers Robert J. Willacker and Carl Douglas Willacker, by sister-in-law Dolly Dick, as well as Ken's sister, Phyllis Dreese and Richard Dreese..

Though her death leaves an empty place in our lives, she filled the hearts of those around her with love that abides.

She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Graveside Service at 2 PM.
