Mavis Stricker

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mavis Stricker on December 21, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on April 10, 1935, to the late Corsie and Stella King in Flat, KY. Mavis touched the lives of everyone around her with her unwavering smile and selfless spirit.

Mavis was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Edward Stricker; Loving mother of Mark (Melissa) Stricker, Christi (Tom) Eubanks, and Jim (Sherri) Kelly; Cherished mamaw of Jason (Lydia) Kelly, Brandon Kelly, River Hawthorne, Bethany (Jeremy) Johnson, and Sarah (Julio) Martinez; Great-grandmother of Addison Souther, Willow Kelly, Peyton Johnson, Josiah Johnson, Cecilia Martinez, and Luca Martinez; Dear sister of Inez.

Along with her husband and parents, Mavis is preceded in death by her siblings Leslie, Ineda, Lois, Clennie, Adeline, and Paul.

Mavis was not just a beloved mother and grandmother but also a cherished friend to many. Mavis embraced family with boundless love, always finding joy in the simple moments spent together. She was an active member of the Mulberry Wesleyan Church since 1956. Her dedication to her faith was mirrored in her sweet, generous, and friendly nature. Whether she was sewing, cooking, canning, or tending to her garden, Mavis brought a personal touch to everything she did, always welcoming others with open arms and a warm heart.

Mavis was a true embodiment of resilience-facing life's challenges with grace. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her for her kindness, selflessness, and endless love.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Two:19 Church - 959 OH-28, Milford, OH 45150. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
