It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Melinda Ann Miller, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on October 5, 2026, at the age of 69. Melinda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and spent her final years in Cleveland, Tennessee, with her family.
Melinda is lovingly remembered by her son, Jeremy (Jessica) Sparks, her daughter-in-law Tami Sparks and her step-daughters, Tonya (Troy) Miller and Sonya Miller Garrison. She is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Camden Sparks, Jadyn Sparks, Ashley Sparks, Regan Sparks, Zane Stevens, Troy MIller, Kristen Kappes, Haley Trenkamp, Josey Garrison, Eli Garrison, Savannah Miller and Mckena Voshel, all of whom brought her immense joy and laughter. Melinda's siblings-sister Angela Sturgill, brothers Doug (Bridgette) Smith, Jimmy (Traci) Smith, and David (Leslie) Evans-along with her extended family, also remain to cherish her memory.
Melinda was preceded in death by her devoted spouse, Donny Miller; stepson Timothy Miller; beloved son Justin Sparks; and her parents, Rupert Smith and Burnadean Evans.
Known affectionately as "Mindy," Melinda had an unparalleled gift for generosity. She delighted in little acts of kindness, often seen shopping at dollar stores for trinkets to brighten someone's day. Her unique love language was bringing smiles to the faces of children, making her an irreplaceable part of their lives. Those who knew her will fondly remember her infectious laughter and her clever sense of humor, which kept family gatherings lively and joyous.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures-baking delicious treats for family, especially during the holidays, and playing board games and cards with her loved ones. Melinda had a particular fondness for attending her grandkids' sporting events, cheering them on with pride and adoration. Her passion for life, kindness, and her gift for baking dozens of Christmas goodies each year will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to call her family.
A funeral service will be held in celebration of Melinda's life on October 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Goshen Cemetery.
Melinda Ann Miller will be deeply missed-a unique piece of our family puzzle that leaves behind an enduring legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
