Melissa H. Castrucci

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Melissa H. Castrucci, who left us peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on May 25, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Missy was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. A devoted wife to James Castrucci and a loving mother to Jill Corbett, Adam Castrucci and Ben Castrucci, she was the very heart of her family.

Missy's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she embraced everyone she met with open arms and kindness. To know Missy was to know friendship; she had the rare ability to see the good in everyone and made every person feel valued. Her patience and gentleness touched countless lives.

An artist at heart, Missy expressed her creativity through painting and was deeply passionate about music. She lovingly played the piano, violin and cello, filling her home with harmonious melodies. A true horticulturist, Missy found joy in flowers, creating stunning floral arrangements that brought beauty and light to those around her.

Missy was not just a mother; she was a guiding force, always prioritizing the needs of her family with love and devotion. She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her husband, James Castrucci, her children, Jill (Brian) Corbett and Ben (Hannah) Castrucci, grandchildren, Logan, Jackson, Anna, Caroline, Addison, Theodore, Eleanor and James, her mother, Janet Abrams, siblings, Sheena and Jay as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and her friends. Missy was preceded in death by her son, Adam (Haley) Castrucci, her granddaughter Audrey Grace, her father Charles Abrams and her sister Leah Abrams.

In honor of Missy's remarkable life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gertrude Church on June 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Prior to the mass, family and friends are invited to a visitation in the church Parish Center beginning at 12:00 PM. A committal service will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
