Michael Anthony Overbay

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael "Mikey" Anthony Overbay, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left us far too soon on May 21, 2025, at the age of 35. Born on July 2, 1989, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mikey captivated everyone he met with his sense of humor and his passion for life.

Mikey was known for his love of music, and you could often find him behind a drum set, keeping the beat and lifting the spirits of those around him. He was also an avid hockey player during his life.

As a talented carpenter, Mikey worked for Outdoor Enhancements, where he specialized in building beautiful decks that helped create wonderful outdoor memories for families. His craftsmanship will be sorely missed, but his legacy of dedication and hard work will forever be remembered by those who knew him.

Mikey leaves behind his father, Michael Overbay; his beloved son, Ryder Overbay; his devoted sister, Kristen Thoms, and her husband, Philip Thoms, and brother Dylan Overbay; as well as his uncles, Kevin and Jason Hurst.

In honor of Mike's life and the myriad ways he touched our hearts, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Exact details on the celebration of life will be shared soon, as we gather to remember the joy he brought to our lives and the memories we hold dear.

In the days to come, let's lift up one another in support and kindness, just as Mikey would have wanted. Remember to cherish those you love, and keep music and laughter alive in honor of a truly great guy.

Mikey was preceded in death by his mother Sherry Overbay and grandparents Patricia (Frank) Hurst, Patricia (Herb) Hurst, and James Overbay.
