Myrna C. Wilson

Myrna C. Wilson (nee Rogers), aged 84, passed away May 19, 2021 at Christian Village at Mason in Mason, Ohio with her husband of 60 years, Edwin D. Wilson, close by her side. She was born January 1, 1937 in Markle, Indiana and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years in the Deer Park School system and lived in Madeira, Ohio for 50 years.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana and then went on to attend Cincinnati Bible Seminary where she met her husband and graduated with a Bachelors degree. She later earned a Masters degree in Education at Xavier University in Cincinnati. She was a very active member for many years with the Madeira Women's Club where she was awarded "Woman of the Year" in 2007. She was involved in the Red Hat Society, Madeira Garden Club, and other groups. She was the ultimate hostess, always opening her home to anyone who needed a place to stay including missionaries, friends and family. She was an excellent cook and baker, everyone enjoyed her banana bread, Christmas cookies and other treats.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Janna (Wilson) Markle and Rick, Craig Wilson and Debbie and 3 grandchildren: Kelsey and Taryn Markle and Charissa Wilson. She is survived by several siblings: Les Rogers (Denver CO), Colleen Griffin (Denver CO), Jackie Schieferstein (Fort Wayne, IN), Linda Hutson (Houston, TX).

Visitation will be Saturday May 22nd 10:00 AM at Armstrong Chapel Methodist Church followed by a service at 11:00 AM.
