Our beloved Nancy Lea Orcutt passed away on September 7, 2023, in Cincinnati Ohio. She was 82.
She was born in Celina, Ohio to Emerson and Naomi Morton on October 25, 1940. She grew up in Vandalia, Ohio, the oldest of five, three sisters Marcia, Jean and Joan and brother Mike. She met her husband Charles R
(Dick) Orcutt in junior high and dated throughout high school and college.
They were married in June of 1961 and were married for 62 wonderful years.
They reared 3 children together.
Dick and Nancy both graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Throughout their 62 years of marriage they live in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio. Nancy was an incredible homemaker. She made her home a beautiful place for her family and friends. She loved gardening and was active in church her entire life and involved in many groups. She served on the Epiphany United Methodist Church founding committee, initial building committee, taught Sunday school, served on the Pastor-Parish relation committee, was a Stephen Minister, in the bell choir, help start the plus 55 group and thoroughly enjoyed being on the Love in Action team. Nancy gave God her whole heart and her life reflected that. She loved people and had such a gift for listening to others and making you feel you were so loved and cared about. She was a prayer warrior for so many, especially her family.
Nancy was involved in her children's, grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives being able to celebrate birthdays, holidays, going to school functions and lots and lots of sports and drama activities throughout the years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Douglas. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Dick, son Greg and wife Karen, daughter-in-law Debbie, daughter June and companion Claude Dupree, 8 grandchildren Kylie, Katelyn, Benjamin, Brittany, Ryan, Brogan, McKenna, Blaire and 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation beginning at 9am on Saturday, September 16th at Epiphany United Methodist Church, 6635 Loveland Miamiville Rd. in Loveland, Ohio followed by a Celebration of Life for Nancy at 11am. Your are welcome to dress colorfully to celebrate Nancy's life.
