Nancy Carolyn Simmons

Nancy Carolyn Simmons (nee Wilmers), loving wife of over 40 years to the late Richard (Dick) Simmons, devoted mother passed away February 27, 2025 at the age of 88 . She is survived by her loving children, Rick (Shelly) Simmons, Jeannie (Terry) Thomas, Terri (Dave) Tengler, Lori (Denny) Adams, and Dan (Annette) Simmons. As a proud grandmother, she leaves behind grandchildren Ryan (Trudy), Shayna, Summer, Carissa (Wes), Cody (Maggie), Robert (Annie), Kathleen (Dustin), Amy (Rob), Ashley (Michael), Katie, Michael (Julie), Kelly (Mike), Connie, Anna (Logan), Justin (Liz), Cassie (Justin), Samantha (Eric), Kahla (Zach), and Danny as well as her beloved 38 great-grandchildren, who called her Grandma Cinnamon or Grandma Fancy.

She is the youngest of five siblings survived by Jean Klump and Shirley Beddinghouse, Sister in law Dee Wilmers and Susan Simmons. Predeceased by Bob and Jack Wilmers, Darrell Simmons, Bernie Bedinghouse, Bernice Wilmers, and Jim Klump. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Nancy exemplified a life filled with love, joy and dedication to God and family. She spent her years as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom adored her deeply. Nancy was known for always having homemade cookies and hugs for anyone who might stop by. Nancy‘s life was enriched by her marriage to Richard Simmons with whom she built their dream home on Mount Zion Road. Their shared love for travel and adventure included many cruises and joyful outings to Kings Island. She was an active member in church and a member of the red hat ladies.

Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Monday March 3, 2025 6:00-8:00 PM. Nancy's life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Tuesday March 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
