With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nicholas Gene Raab, who left this world on July 7, 2025, at the tender age of 19. Born on December 13, 2005, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nicholas brought joy and light to everyone around him. He resided in Fayetteville, Ohio, where he cherished his family and friends.
Nicholas was a remarkable young man who exemplified resilience and courage throughout his life. For eight months, he battled Acute Myeloid Leukemia with extraordinary strength and bravery, inspiring all who knew him. His journey was marked by an unwavering spirit, and he will forever be remembered as a warrior and a hero to his beloved parents, Richard and Kristine Raab.
A dedicated student and passionate individual, Nicholas spent a decade honing his skills in martial arts at the Maududo Federation, attaining the esteemed rank of 3rd degree black belt. He had a vibrant spirit, participating actively in the world of Pokémon Go and showcasing his love for cosplay by dressing up as characters from his favorite movie, Five Nights at Freddy's. An exceptionally talented artist, Nicholas found joy in sketching and cherished building Lego sets, which became a source of solace during his hospital stays.
Nicholas held a profound love for animals and aspired to study zoology, revealing his kind-hearted nature and compassionate spirit. He was a quiet soul who possessed a unique sense of humor and a goodness that resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to know him. To his parents, he was the best son they could have ever hoped for, and his memory will remain forever etched in their hearts.
Nicholas is survived by his loving parents Richard L. and Kristine J. (nee Yuellig) Raab; Cherished brother of Megan Raab; Dear grandson of Eugene and Sandy Yuellig; Nephew of Karen & Nick Johnson, Don & Emma Raab, Jane & Louis Griffin, Joann & Chris Brinkman, and Doug & Beth Brinkman. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and his family at the Maududo Federation.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Rosemarie Raab.
Nicholas's family invites friends and loved ones to honor his life and legacy. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Church in Owensville, OH, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Old St. Joseph Cemetery.
