Norine Neal Engled, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026. Born on January 10, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Norine lived a life rooted in devotion to her family and an unwavering faith in the Lord.

Norine was a woman who truly embodied the spirit of community. As a beloved school bus driver with Reading Schools and later Milford Schools, she not only transported children safely but also brought warmth and kindness to all those she encountered. Never knowing a stranger, she had a way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Her laughter, love, and resilience defined her life, and her family will forever cherish the memories of the joy she spread.

A proud member of both Heartland Christian Church and Spirit + Truth Community Church, Norine's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was a faithful believer who lived by her values and instilled these cherished principles in her children and grandchildren. Norine exemplified a life of love, laughter, and strength, inspiring her family to embrace each day with gratitude and joy. She was a witness for Christ until her last breath.

Norine is survived by her loving son, Doug (Phillis) Engled; her loving daughters, Dorothy (Mike) Barker and Sharon (Pat) Adams; and her brother, Larry Hankins and devoted sister, Carol Hankins. She leaves behind a legacy of love represented by her grandchildren: Barbie (John) Dowd, Dougie (Laura) Engled, Jr., Mikie Barker, Austin Adams, Mason Adams, Dustin (Sierra) Engled, and Ashley Adams, as well as great-grandchildren: Paige (Erik Slusher), Tyler, and Lucy Gentry, Zachary Miniard-Dowd, Hannah (Jimmy) Burnham, Kaitlyn  Dowd, Taylor (Collin) Black, and Dakota Engled; great-great grandchildren Georgia Gentry, Kade Slusher, Jackson Black, Olivia Black, and Hazel Burnham, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: parents Ernest and Gracie Hankins, Sr., brothers Ernest R. Hankins, Jr. and Garry Hankins, and sisters Joyce Woods, Judy Lamb and Martha Hankins.

Norine's legacy will continue through the lives she touched, and her spirit will be celebrated in the forthcoming funeral services. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on September 18, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Norine will then be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

She lived fully and loved deeply, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing, and may we honor her legacy by emulating her kindness and compassion every day.
