Norma J. Marlatt

Norma J. Marlatt, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on January 1, 1933, in Williamsburg, OH, Norma touched the lives of many through her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Norma dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She is survived by her cherished children, Kris (Tom) Tripp, Bruce (Kathy) Marlatt, and Ken (Mary) Marlatt. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jessica (Ryan) Finnegen, Sarah (Matt) Burgio, Beth (Chris) Murdoch, Brittany (Andres) Noyola, Elizabeth Wehrman, Katie Wehrman, and Kim Wehrman, and her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jackson, and Alyssa. Siblings Betty Fisher, Don (Chris) Fisher, Pastor Bill (Kathy) Fisher and Angela (Mike) Arwine.

Norma was not only a devoted family matriarch but also a joyful spirit who loved to laugh. Her easy-going nature endeared her to those around her. An avid traveler, she found joy in the simple beauty of life, often picking up shells and driftwood on her beach excursions to create various crafts. She was a passionate cross-stitcher, using her creativity to bring warmth to her home. Norma’s church and faith were foundational in her life, and she made it a priority to ensure her children knew the love of Jesus.

Norma will be remembered as the type of person whom, once known, one could not help but love. Her kindness and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, where visitation will commence on December 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Norma will be laid to rest in Williamsburg Cemetery.

In honoring Norma’s beautiful spirit, let us remember the laughter, the travels, the crafts, and above all, the love she shared so freely with all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her life.

Norma was preceded in death by: parents Jessie and Dorothy Fisher; and her husband Joe Marlatt.
