Norman B. Turkelson, age 90, of Goshen passed away surrounded by his family, early morning December 15, 2018. He was born July 13, 1928 in Cincinnati the son of Norman and Muriel (nee Hess). Turkelson. After high school graduation, Norman joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served during WWII. After he was discharged he helped run his family grocery store, Hess Grocery, in the Hartwell area, only to be re-enlisted and serve during the Korean Conflict. He was finally Honorable Discharged in 1951. He retired as a supervisor for the Cincinnati Milacron Afton Plant after 42 years of service. On January 14, 1950 he married his wife of 68 years, Shirley Dixon, who survives along with their children & spouses; Steve & Sue Turkelson, David & Sandy Turkelson, Wayne & Dee Turkelson, and Julie Turkelson, grandchildren; Sarah, Elizabeth, Kathy, Tiana, Shelby, Staci, Jason, Ashley, Missy, Angie and Amy, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons; Daniel and Dennis Turkelson and his sister and brother-in-law Peg & Bill Davies. Services will be 11:30AM Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford with visitation for family and friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Rev. Brian Wikoff will officiate. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in Wayne Township with Military Honors.
