Obituary

Olivia Jo Cook, 79, of Milford, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, in Loveland, Ohio. She was born on February 8, 1947, in Iowa.

Olivia was married to her husband, James, for 58 years before his passing. She devoted much of her life to her family, her faith, and her work as a teacher. For many years, she taught at Shalom Elementary School in Harrod, Ohio, where she had a special gift for helping struggling readers gain confidence and discover the joy of reading. She believed every child was capable of learning and worked patiently to help each one succeed.

Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life-through both joyful and difficult seasons-including the loss of six pregnancies and many health challenges throughout her life she relied on her faith.

A proud mother of two, Olivia is survived by her daughter Camela Marsh and son-in-law Jonathan Marsh; her son James Cook and daughter-in-law Charissa Cook; and her grandchildren that she absolutely adored Madisyn Ditto, Austin Cook, Callie Cook and Brooklyn Cook. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Ray Clouse and sister-in-law Shelly Clouse, her sister Beryl Snyder, and her brother Rick Clouse and sister-in-law Brenda Clouse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook; her parents, Ivan and Alice Clouse; her son, David Cook; and her brother, Ernie Clouse.

While Olivia's earthly journey has concluded, her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring a woman who made the world a better place through her calling as a teacher, her unwavering faith, and her boundless love for family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio, beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Loveland Cemetery, 234 Center Street, Loveland, Ohio.
