Ovid James Forst

Ovid James Forst, age 84, of West Chester, Ohio formerly of Columbia City, passed away surrounded by his family Dec. 5, 2018. He was born July 31, 1934 the son of Furland and Lucille (nee Worrick) Forst. His mother passed away early in his life and he was raised by his father and aunt Bernice Worrick Forst. On September 19, 1954 he married Loretta Jean (nee Keiser). In 1969 Jim and Loretta moved to the Cincinnati area and settled down in West Chester. They were members of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reading. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loretta, their children; Greg (Eve), Randall (Kim) Forst, Nora Combs, grandchildren; Brandon, Travis and Jerod Forst, Kenneth and Daniel Combs, 5 great-grandchildren and his sister Carleen (Don) Woll. Visitation will be 10:30AM, Mon. Dec. 10th until the time of service at 12PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 Maple St. Cincinnati 45215. Reverend Emily Beckering will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. His family request memorials in his honor to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
