It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ison, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Patricia was born on November 30, 1938, and she departed this life peacefully on November 8, 2025, just shy of her 87th birthday. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication to her family and community.
Patricia was a lifelong member of the Owensville United Methodist Church, where her musical talents flourished as she played the piano and organ during services. Her commitment to her faith and her community was evident in her dedication to carrying on the Anne B. Gallagher Christmas Stocking charity, ensuring that children in need would have a brighter holiday season. For many years, she and her husband, Alton Ison, delivered meals for Clermont Senior Services, embodying the spirit of service that defined her life.
Beyond her commitments to her church and community, Patricia was a proud member of the Owensville Order of the Eastern Star, where she formed lasting friendships and continued her dedication to helping others. She spent 30 rewarding years shaping young minds as a school teacher, retiring in 1988, but her influence on her students lived on far beyond the classroom walls.
A woman of grace and warmth, Patricia found joy in her vibrant garden, nurturing flowers that reflected her personality-bright, nurturing, and full of life. She cherished moments spent at her swimming pool, basking in the sun and laughter shared with family and friends.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Alton Ison, her devoted sons Zach (Jenny) Ison and Scott (Kathleen) Ison, and her cherished grandchildren: Jacob (Elley) Ison, Josh (Sarah) Ison, Alexx Ison, Sammantha (Kyle) Ison, and Zainn Ison. She also relished her role as a great-grandmother to Thea, Deklan, Gannon, Karter, and Kennedi, all of whom she adored deeply. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life at a funeral service to be held on November 15, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the Owensville United Methodist Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Patricia will be laid to rest following the service, surrounded by the love and memories she cultivated throughout her life.
Patricia Ison touched the lives of many, and her legacy of compassion and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Harold Gallagher and Anne Gallagher and her sister Joann Kellerman.
