October 26, 1962 — June 16, 2019

Paul "Mike" Pendergrass age 56, of Goshen passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. He was born October 26, 1962 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Paul Edward and Bonnie Lee (nee Baker) Pendergrass. Mike attended the Hamilton Public Schools and Hamilton Vocational School until his junior year when his family moved to the Mason area. He was a 1981 graduate of the Mason High School and attended Raymond Walters College. His father had a love for constructing wooden roller coasters with Coney Island/Kings Island and that passion was passed to Mike. Reluctantly he retired in 2018, due to his health, after 35 years of constructing and repairing the wooden roller coasters at King Island that began in 1984. Mike loved Christian "hard rock" music and played as the drummer in several bands over the years. He was know for playing with White Hearts version of Little Drummer Boy adding his special touch on drums. On July 31, 1981, he married Kim Cansler Pendergrass, who survives, along with 4 daughters and spouses; Jessica & Caleb Bowman, Savannah Pendergrass & Brad Smith, Bethany & Pastor Tom Curee, and Tiffany & Patrick Stone, grandchildren; Silas, Gideon. Levi, Evalee, Rhenium, Nakoda, Judah, Naomi, Harvest, Josiah, Charlie and Ember, siblings; Dana (LaTonya) Pendergrass, Kelly (Donny) Wagers, Tiffany (Kevin) Brinkman and Jeremy (April) Pendergrass. Services will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Real Church Goshen, 10059 Pleasant Renner Rd. Goshen, Ohio 45122 with visitation for family and friends at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Tom Curee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery. Memorials in his honor may be made to Real Church Goshen.
